Specific responsibilities
-
Meeting with individual students regularly, providing practical support, counselling, information as required
-
Assessing clients’ needs and ensuring they have access to appropriate support services.

Occasionally acting as an advocate for students in situations where they may be experiencing hardship, injustice or discrimination.

Providing short written assessments of students’ wellbeing and progress overcoming challenges and taking study opportunities

Facilitating occasional meetings with parents online in home countries

Application Requirements

Qualifications (one of the following):
– An Undergraduate degree level qualification in Social Work with eligibility for registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers.
– A minimum 4 year graduate degree in counselling or psychology with one on one counselling experience. -
